EEC at FHI 360 develops programs and materials that promote bias-free learning in school and after school. We provide professional development, consulting services, and community partnerships. Our goal is to eliminate inequities based on gender, race/ethnicity, disability, and level of family income.

EEC in Action

  • Through Afterschool Inclusive Math (AIM), youth with and without disabilities work together on real-world, inquiry-based math. Read EEC's Guidelines based on lessons learned. (more)
  • Working with afterschool centers around the country Great Science for Girls delivers curricula, research, professional development and consulting services to help promote the concept that science is, indeed, a "girl thing."
  • Teasing and bullying impact everyone, traumatizing children and negatively affecting classroom productivity. Quit it! is an integrated program that gives teachers and parents the tools to proactively address these problems. (more)
  • During their first 10 years, boys are likely to lag behind in social/emotional development and academic achievement, particularly in the area of literacy. Read EEC’s report on Raising and Educating Healthy Boys. (more)
